About these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Conoscimi mobile application and website (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

Who can use Conoscimi

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Conoscimi is designed for parents and legal guardians of children with additional needs. By creating an account, you confirm that you are an adult acting on behalf of your child.

We do not knowingly permit children under 13 to create accounts or submit data directly. All profile content is entered by a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has created an account without parental consent, please contact us at ConoscimiApp@gmail.com and we will delete it promptly.

Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Do not share your password with anyone. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account and to keep that information up to date. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that contain false or misleading information.

You may delete your account at any time from within the app. Account deletion permanently removes all your data, including all child profiles and share links. This cannot be undone.

Free trial and payment

Conoscimi offers a 7-day free trial with access to all features. No credit card is required to start the trial.

After the trial period ends, a one-time payment of $7.99 (or local equivalent) is required to continue using the app. This is a lifetime purchase — there are no recurring subscription fees. The price displayed at the time of purchase is the price you pay.

Payments are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) depending on the platform you use. We do not collect or store your payment card details. All billing disputes must be raised with the relevant platform.

We may offer promotional pricing for a limited time. Promotional prices are not guaranteed in perpetuity and may change after the promotional period ends.

Acceptable use

You agree to use Conoscimi only for its intended purpose: building a profile that helps caregivers, teachers, and other trusted adults understand and support your child.

Your content

You own the content you enter into Conoscimi. We do not claim ownership of your child's profile information, notes, or any other content you create.

By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to store, process, and transmit your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. We do not use your content for advertising, training AI models, or any other commercial purpose.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the content you enter. Conoscimi is a communication tool — it does not provide medical, therapeutic, or educational advice. Always consult qualified professionals for decisions about your child's care.

Share links and third-party access

When you create a share link, you are choosing to share your child's profile with the recipient. You are responsible for deciding who receives a link and for revoking access when it is no longer needed.

We are not responsible for how recipients use or store the information they access via a share link. You should only share links with people you trust.

Share links can be revoked at any time from within the app. Once revoked, the link immediately stops working.

Service availability

We aim to keep Conoscimi available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may occasionally need to take the Service offline for maintenance, updates, or reasons outside our control.

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the Service at any time. If we make a material change that affects your use of the Service, we will notify you in advance by email where possible.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Conoscimi is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, secure, or continuously available.

We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of access, or decisions made based on profile content.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in conduct that we reasonably consider harmful to other users or to the integrity of the Service, or if required to do so by law.

If we terminate your account for a reason other than a Terms violation, we will give you reasonable notice and the opportunity to export your data.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Irish courts.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email and display a notice in the app at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

The date at the top of this page always shows when the Terms were last updated.
